While residing in India Lord Dalhousie, viceroy of British India came here to spend some quite time with nature. In case there is a road trip than travelling via NH 1 crossing all the major cities like New Delhi –Ghaziabad-Panipat-Kurushetra-Ambala-Ludhiana-Jalandhar-Pathankot-Dalhousie, is the shortest way. It approximately takes 10-11 hours, but driving through mountainous route is little bit a problem, so hiring a car for this particular route is highly recommendable.
